As President of Barami Construction, Mr. Barami is involved in ensuring the clients expectations are met across multiple asset classes. Under his leadership, Barami Construction is now grossing $30 Million a year in revenue annually with notable clients such as JASA (Jewish Association for Services for the Aged), HUD (Housing and Urban Development), and HPD (Housing and Preservation).
As Vice President, Roni Barami oversees the gamut of daily operations as well as eliciting new opportunities for company expansion. His knack for negotiation and sales has made him one of the foremost executives at Barami Construction.
Prior to his current role, Roni was project manager, a position where he oversaw the successful completion of 300 Apartments for Nordeck Housing CO-OP, a 6-Building residential complex funded by the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.
Roni Barami is currently finishing a degree in Philosophy & Mathematics at Columbia University.
Lona Bajrami is the Director of Operations, where she is involved in coordinating with project managers to track the progress on all projects. She is an expert at pre-construction, as well as the head of purchasing and procurement. With her guidance, she facilitates others in a smooth transition from budgeting to project completion.
Some of her Project Highlights include, the multi build-out of Sephora’s in Pennsylvania, as well as the renovation of 150 Apartments for Senior Housing in Cooper Square.
Lona Bajrami holds a Bachelors in Political Science from Baruch College.
Devon Spivey is the Chief of Estimating at Barami Construction, a position he has held since the company’s inception.
With over 30 years of experience, Devon has been involved in all facets of construction, including, estimating, project management, and purchasing. Devon’s skills are in detailed estimating, building budgets, job scheduling, site logistics, and negotiation. He also maintains relationships with key clients in construction management and development.
Devon Spivey holds a Bachelor’s in Business administration from the College of Staten Island, CUNY.
With more than 20 years of experience, Oziel Borges joined Barami Construction in 2012, bringing with him an array of knowledge and expertise in construction. Over the years he has been involved in a wide range of projects which include Student Housing for EHS, Momofuku Restaurants, Ebay Offices, et cetera.
On a daily basis, Oziel handles projects from pre-construction to sign-off/completion, which includes, administration of a project, managing the technical aspects of construction, as well as monitoring his onsite staff. He is currently spearheading a 400 apartment renovation for Senior Housing in Far Rockaway.
Oziel Borges holds a degree in Computer Science, as well as a specialization in construction from the UniOpet University in Brazil.
Joe Buffa is a Senior Project Manager at Barami Construction with more than 20 years of experience. He is involved in daily operations of a project from start to completion. Prior to joining Barami, Joe was a project manager at Skyline Restoration, where for more than 9 years, was involved in large scale façade and interior renovation projects which include the 30-million-dollar renovation of the Coney Island Project Housing.
For Joe, every project he undertakes is a new challenge which he relishes with enthusiasm. Coupled with a hands-on approach, getting a project done with the highest quality to ensure client satisfaction is his top priority.
Currently, Joe is finishing up a massive 1600 Apartment Renovation for 1199 Housing Corp.
Joe Buffa holds a degree in Communications from Kingsborough Community College.
As Director of Public Relations, Ruben oversees the development and implementation of all PR priorities and strategies for Barami Construction. He is renowned in his abilities in media relations strategy, and digital and social media marketing.
Ruben Avxhiu holds a Master’s in Technology, Media, and Communications at the Columbia University - School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA).
